Preventing drowning

Overview

This publication provides best practice recommendations for 3 interventions to prevent drowning. The 3 interventions – provision of day-care, basic swimming and water safety skills, and safe rescue and resuscitation training – are implemented at community level. Safe and effective implementation depends on programme implementers following the guidance provided in these best practice recommendations.
