Clinical audit tool to strengthen quality of child and youth mental health services
Overview
Strengthening the quality of child and youth mental health care is a priority across the WHO European Region. This tool aims to facilitate the systematic evaluation of care processes, identify areas for improvement and guide the implementation of strategies to strengthen the quality of care, as part of a wider quality strengthening initiative. It is designed to be used in conjunction with WHO Quality standards for child and youth mental health care, but can also support quality audits in other health areas. It is designed for use by a broad range of health care professionals and stakeholders involved in the delivery and improvement of child and youth mental health across the Region, including service managers, quality improvement teams and clinicians. It promotes ethical data practices, adolescent and caregiver engagement and sustainability planning to ensure long-term integration into routine service delivery.
